I love black and white family snapshots. It doesn’t matter whose family. There is a spontaneity and unassuming quality to them.

This is an ongoing body of work that incorporates my collection of thousands of black & white amateur snapshots with a surround of multiples of my color photographs.

I choose vintage photographs, from approximately 1910-1960, when the simple box camera came into its own. These black & white images are scanned & enhanced with Photoshop. My photographs, which punctuate the theme, are either Polaroid SX-70s, or digital concoctions. I love the blend of the past with modern technology. These images show a slice of American culture now lost, or perhaps merely faded.

All prints are limited edition Giclee, printed archivally on the Epson Color Stylus 2200 with Epson enhanced matte paper.
